I am delighted to welcome you to our new website marking the launch of the school as Crofton Academy, Specialists in Maths and Computing. Whilst we have undergone possibly the biggest change in the school’s history, our values and beliefs still centre around the education and wellbeing of young people in our community.
Once again we have achieved yet another outstanding set of results. Whilst each individual year group must be measured upon its own merits, it is now true to say that Crofton Academy is consistently producing outstanding results year on year. Consequently the school is seen as one of the most successful locally as well as achieving national recognition for outstanding progress and attainment. I am proud to say that the last three years have seen an average of 65% 5A*-C grades including Maths and English, and 83% 5A*-C grades.
The academic performance of our students is, I believe, a reflection of the ethos of the school which pupils parents/guardians and staff “buy into”. Crofton Academy provides a family spirit in challenging each individual for the best, ensuring that everyone has the necessary care, support and guidance to enable their success. This strength was recognised by Ofsted who graded the standard of education we provide as outstanding when they inspected the school in November 2011. The five year journey at Crofton Academy allows for full personal development with the whole range of curriculum and extra curricular opportunities in sports, the arts and world wide visits.
