SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Crofton Academy, we are committed to providing every pupil with a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs. Our approach is guided by the principle of “Know Who, Know How”, ensuring that our staff understand each pupil’s requirements and possess the skills to deliver effective, adaptive and responsive teaching.

We believe that real inclusion is seamless: support is integrated into everyday classroom practice, allowing all pupils to engage fully with lessons and academy life.

Our SEND provision is led by our SENDCo, Mrs V Elliott, who works closely with staff to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to thrive. To contact the SENDCo, please email info@cro.castlefordtrust.co.uk or visit our Contact Us page.

The people behind our SEND support

Here is a small glimpse of some of the dedicated staff who help deliver SEND support across the Academy.

SEN Learning Support Assistant

I love helping children feel happy, supported and confident at school. Every child learns in their own way, and I enjoy encouraging them, celebrating their achievements and helping them believe in themselves.
